Identication and Classification of Menoreh Durians Based on Molecular - RAPD Markers

<p>Menoreh durian is an accessions fruit originally from Kulonprogo district, Special Region of Yogyakarta, Indonesia. In the context proposing Menoreh to be a new superior variety, it necessary have identity and position in molecular genetic group. The aim study was obtain Durian classification. wet laboratory experiment using PCR-based RAPD method. Eleven were identified characterized then grouped based on analysis which pink 3 Yellow accsessions, Petruk, Sunan, Sukun, Sitokong, Montong, Kani Aspar. method carried out stages: DNA extraction, quantity quality test, amplification, electroforesis, visualization results. classification 11 , resulted three groups; namely group I consisted Kuning, Aspar Sunan Jambon; Group II Thailand; III only Sukun accession. Based this grouping, Kuning dan Jambon separated other groups at distance more than 0.25 indicated that accession as variety.</p><p> </p><p> </p>
